New installations at University of Plymouth

Drew & Co have completed a number of Small Works installations for the University of Plymouth, and continue to offer an important range of services throughout the campus.

Among the services they provide are LV distribution, all aspects of internal and external lighting (including controls), electrical work relating to the CRC programme, emergency lighting, and installation of all categories of fire detection systems.

Small Works Manager Clifton Andrew said of the recently undertaken installations: "The works that Drew &Co have conducted for my colleagues and I, on behalf of the University, have been of an excellent standard and value, and their staff are of the highest professionalism."

In reference to one of the larger projects conducted, the University Senior Electrical Engineer David Kingwell added: "Drew & Co have supplied and installed a new low voltage switchboard in the Babbage building to replace the original 1970s panel that was life expired and had become faulty. The Babbage building is critical to the operation of the University and as such the job required temporary power generation and had a short timescale to complete. Drew & Co installed the new switchboard with a high quality of workmanship and completed the installation (including all testing) in the required timescale."
